On September 11 eight hundred people gathered at the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Parish in Andover Kansas.
This uplifting event stressed remembrance of the tragedy of 9/11. It will noted the struggle we all experienced when dealing with the many emotions engendered from this tragedy.
The event will also stressed the hope we experience today through faith and through the cultivation of relationships across the divides which have separated us.
this unity gathering brought together the Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities in the Wichita area.
It was a collaborative event on many levels. The concert Choirs from Newman University, Friends University and Hesston College sang separately and later in one combined chorus.
community leaders from the various religious communities spoke and Anthony Brown was featured as a soloist.
The event was planned by Peacing it together Foundation and Global Faith In Action.
